UCARE LevelUp webinars are held approximately every 8 weeks, covering topics such as guideline recommendations and updates, recent insights from publications, results from UCARE projects, a year in review webinar towards the end of 2021 and 2022, advances in the diagnostics of urticaria, the history of urticaria, advances in our understanding of chronic urticaria (CU) comorbidities, the UCARE and ACARE network interaction, the CU patient burden and how to assess it, biomarkers in CU and mast cell biology.

All webinars will be 1-hour programs with 45 minutes of presentations by one or more UCARE physician with 15 minutes for questions and answers.

Webinar 9: Recalcitrant Urticaria: What to do when guidelines fail?

Description/aim: The global guidelines on urticaria are a marvelous document, but there are always exceptions: patients who do not fare well with the proposed therapies, new treatment options not yet covered by the GLs and when resources are a restriction to apply the GLs fully. The UCARE 2021 Conference is one of the biggest and most important urticaria meetings of 2021, featuring sessions on new insights on the pathogenesis, the differential diagnosis, and the management approach to urticaria as well as on new results from basic scientific projects and epidemiological studies on chronic urticaria. New treatment approaches and the results of clinical studies in chronic urticaria will also play a big part in the conference.
