Join the expert panel and author group for the revision and update of the international EAACI/GA²LEN/EuroGuiDerm/APAAACI guideline for the definition, classification, diagnosis, and management of urticaria.
In order to register, please click the button below. You will be asked to fill out a form, upload a Letter of Endorsement and state your Conflict of Interest.
Please note that regarding the Letter of Endorsement, it needs to show that you are a delegate of an international, national or regional scientific or medical society. This letter should state that you are a representative and delegate of the society and that your participation secures endorsement of the update and revision of the guideline by the society you represent.
The wording should be something like this:
“We (name of society) confirm that (your name) has been appointed as our delegate for the revision and update of the international EAACI/GA²LEN/EuroGuiDerm/APAAACI guideline for the definition, classification, diagnosis, and management of urticaria”
Simply sending e.g. a membership confirmation is not sufficient.
You may use this form: Form_Delegate_of_Scientific_Society_Guidelines_Urticaria
Regarding the Conflict of Interest, please note that in the interest of transparency, we ask you to disclose all relationships/activities/interests listed below that are related to your participation in the expert panel of the update and revision of the urticaria guideline. “Related” means any relation with for-profit or not-for-profit third parties whose interests may be affected by the content of the urticaria guideline. Disclosure represents a commitment to transparency and does not necessarily indicate a bias. If you are in doubt about whether to list a relationship/activity/interest, it is preferable that you do so. All declarations of potential or actual conflicts of interest, whether due to a financial or other relationship, must be provided to GA²LEN upon submission of the application. Declarations must include whether any fee, honorarium, or arrangement for re- imbursement of expenses in relation to the update and revision of the urticaria guideline has been provided.
Do I need to register if I was an expert panel member of the previous revision of the guideline?
Yes. Please also provide a current letter of endorsement by an international, national or regional scientific or medical society, stating that you are their representative and delegate. This society does not need to be the one that endorsed your participation of the previous update and revision.
When will the registration close?
Registration is open until the summer of this year. An exact date will be provided on the UCARE website in a couple of weeks.
Will the next version of the guideline have the same title societies as the current one?
We hope so. We are currently reaching out to all title societies of the current version of the guideline, to explore their interest in being title societies of the next one.
Can I be a delegate of more than one society?
Yes, you can. We would like to involve many societies, to help with shaping the update and revision of the guideline and its dissemination.
